People suffering from fibromyalgia and chronic pain do not get enough sleep. Sleep loss causes the accumulation of stress hormones in our system causing more pain and less sleep.  It is a vicious cycle. Getting enough sleep breaks this fatigue cycle and facilitates the elimination of these hormones.  The goal is to wake up refreshed and be ready to function for the day.

NAC for Depression


N-Acetyl-Cysteine is an over the counter mucolytic with many other benefits.  500 mg. once a day is enough to beat my depression. 

Cannabis use.


An Indica tincture taken before bedtime affords me 8 hours of sleep. I do not take Sativa tincture at night because it keeps me awake.


Dosage depends on factors like body weight and tincture strength.  I started with 1/3 dropper full and made adjustments to be able to get up refreshed the following day. 


The active components of cannabis are fat soluble and gets stored in our fat cells.  I do not find the need to take it in the day time.
